How would you describe yourself as a person?

I am a curious person who likes to learn new things. I love football and music, especially when I get to enjoy them live. I also like to cook and hang out with family and friends.

What is your role at Paliscope?

I develop new functions and improve existing ones as part of Paliscope’s development team.

What first sparked your interest in the field of software engineering?

I worked as a buyer at Volvo for a number of years, but didn’t feel I enjoyed that role and wanted to work with something that was more technical and dealt with more problem solving. I’ve always been interested in programming and have always tinkered a bit with it in one way or another since I was 12 or 13 years old. I decided to train as a developer and was given a leave of absence to study in a two-year YH program for web developers. It was a fantastic opportunity to have the chance to take a break in the middle of my work life and I haven’t regretted it for a second. Part of the training involved an internship at NetClean and, once the training was complete, I was hired by them.

What’s the best part about working at Paliscope?

It’s a wonderful team that’s always working together to find the best solutions, and a great bunch to hang out with.

What are you working on right now?

We are rebuilding the report generation function to create a faster and more flexible report. It will give users completely new possibilities to customize the content in their reports, as well as how they look. I think it will be a great improvement for all users.

Where can we find you when you’re not at work?

Once the pandemic is over, you’ll find me on a bleacher or in a cramped concert hall. I can also be found out on a run.
