New features

  • Integrated services:
    • Camera Forensics indexes imagery across the web and makes this information searchable to find devices, similar images, locations and metadata. Paliscope provides a direct query whenever an image is collected.
    • Pimeyes analyzes over 50 million websites on both clearnet and darknet and matches provided faces to crawled results from the internet. Paliscope provides Pimeyes lookup directly from collected images.
    • Project Arachnid is a platform that crawls links on URLs previously reported to Cybertip.ca that contained CSAM (child sexual abuse material) to aid in detecting where CSAM is potentially being made available on the internet, and providing notice to the entity hosting such CSAM. Paliscope provides a direct query of the Project Arachnid database with the PhotoDNA hash of an image.
    • Web-IQ continuously monitors, harvests and structures data from Tor Hidden Services and popular Darknet markets. This data can be searched from Paliscope from the Cards in Collect mode. Every piece of intelligence collected is checked against all available datasets.
    • Note: auto-querying of services is switched off by default and can be enabled in the settings panel
  • It’s now possible to browse the Tor network in Paliscope if you have a Paliscope Pro license. Make sure the Tor browser is installed on your computer.
  • We adjusted the height of our dialogs to support smaller screens.
  • It’s now possible to right-click on images on a web page and collect them (using the context menu).
  • It’s now possible to create your own case types.

  • Smart Images – Image Inspector: Click on an image in Smart Images to view the EXIF summary, do a Google reverse image search, or collect the image.
  • Collected Data – Images: View images in the same structured way as web pages. You can also bulk upload local images and bulk download collected images.
  • Collected Data – EXIF data on images: View detailed EXIF data on an image; if it contains GPS data you can see the position on an interactive, embedded map.
  • Capture Media – Images: Collecting images with drag & drop from the browser has been completely reworked and is a sight for sore eyes! The audit trail is updated automatically with the image data.
  • Images in report: The images are included in the report at the maximum paper size the same way screenshots are. In the next release it will be possible to include the EXIF data of images in the report.
  • Long reports: Were you having problems with generating PDF reports that had 1000+ pages? This is now solved, Paliscope handles extremely long reports with a nice estimated remaining time progress so you can plan your coffee breaks accordingly.
