DejaVuAI is a revolutionary new image recognition technology that makes it possible to find objects and similar images like a human – but at the speed of a computer.
When we heard about it, we were blown away! We knew we had to integrate it with YOSE to give our customers the best image recognition tool on the market.
Luckily, the co-founder of DejaVuAI Johnny Kessler felt the same way.

Kevin Metcalf is a former federal agent, now working as CEO at the National Child Protection Tasks Force. He has been working with Johnny for a couple of years, and about a year ago, Kevin introduced Johnny to Christian Berg (Vice President of Paliscope).
“I demonstrated our technology to Christian, and his mind was blown. He asked if we could join forces and integrate DejaVuAI into YOSE. From there on, we started working together”, says Johnny Kessler.
Because of the way DejaVuAI was built, it was easy to integrate it with YOSE. The first integration went exceptionally well, and since then, the teams from DejaVuAI and Paliscope have been working to improve the technology even more.
For Johnny and his team, saying no to the partnership with Paliscope was never an option.
“Paliscope is number one in their field, and Christians’ background made it easy to say yes without hesitating. We were also involved with The National Child Protect Tasks Force, and the job Christian and his team have been doing in that field speaks for itself: we wanted to be a part of stopping child exploitation”, says Johnny.
From being a hobby project in 2021, DejaVuAI has, in only a couple of years, grown into an international company, selling its technology worldwide.”
So, who is Johnny Kessler, and why did he decide to start DejaVuAI? If you ask him, he is a technologist who was dragged into “the dark side.”
“I started with IT back in the 80s. People always told me I was a technologist who knew how to talk with others. And when a friend asked if I wanted to go into the dark side – I mean sales – I said yes”, says Johnny.
Over a night, he went from being an IT director to a salesperson. From there, it took only a short time until he moved to a senior leadership role.
A few years ago, Johnny was approached by his business partner, who presented the initial idea of what became DejaVuAI. Johnny was intrigued by the technology and started working to improve DejaVuAI as a small hobby project.
When the pandemic hit in 2021, and everyone had to work from home, Johnny decided to pursue his work with DejaVuAI full-time – not long after, his business partner did the same.
From being a hobby project in 2021, DejaVuAI has, in only a couple of years, grown into an international company, selling its technology worldwide.

DejaVuAI is an algorithmic search technology that approaches the image recognition problem in a unique way.
YOSE was already good at finding images before, but since the DejaVuAI integration, it’s incredible.
For example, just look at this picture. The technology could find the complete picture from just a few puzzle pieces. We also get information about where the photo was taken and why we were presented with that result.
“So it’s not like a typical black box that it usually is with AI where you feed information in and gets an answer without explanation. We show you how and from where we got the answer.”

With the technology of DejaVuAI, you can:
We are incredibly proud and happy to work with Johnny and his team at DejaVuAI. Together, we will continue improving the technology to give our customers the best multi-source tool for digital investigations.
