This is the new Paliscope – Focus on turning insights into actions

On June 30, CyberInsights acquired Paliscope. The two Swedish companies are now working together under the name Paliscope to deliver insights, control risk and prevent criminal activities within the cyber arena.

The need for analytics tools and advisory services in the digital domain is more significant than ever. When the new head of security at the Swedish Security Police, Charlotte Von Essen, was interviewed in her role for the first time, she said, “We have to invest more in digital and increase our digitalisation pace, or else our mission will fail”.

– With increasing criminal activity online, authorities need to be on their offence to stop criminals, and our products can help them with that. At the same time, with our analytic- and advisory services, we can be on the front line of enterprises, building up a defence against cyber threats. And with the experience we gain by working with both authorities and enterprises, we can develop our products and make them even better, says Rolf Rosenvinge, founder of CyberInsights and CEO of Paliscope.

The new Paliscope

From the beginning, Paliscope was a software company with a groundbreaking platform for digital investigations. CyberInsights, on the other hand, was a cyber boutique specializing in solving the most complex challenges and helping large clients across the Nordics region design, size, source, and implement leading cyber programs.

Together they saw a chance to complement each other’s services and give their customers a wing to wing solution for their cyber security and digital investigation needs.

“Our mission is to help them transform their data into insights on which they can take real and essential action”

– Many companies in our area of expertise are more focused on collecting data. However, Paliscopes main focus is what our customers can do with the data they have. Our mission is to help them transform their data into insights on which they can take real and essential action, says Rolf.

Christian Berg, founder and deputy CEO of Paliscope fills in:

– People produce more and more content, and the hard drives are getting even bigger. The amount of data sources where we can collect data is also increasing rapidly. This overload of data creates new problems for the companies. How can they navigate through all that data and get a productive outcome? This is where we step in with advisory services and our software.

“There is no shortage of challenges in the world today.”

Paliscope’s modern and user-friendly software, YOSE and Discovry, helps investigators and analysts do what they do best—automating repetitive tasks, simplifying the search for relevant data and documenting reports forensically. Simply put, increasing investigational capacity to solve more cases.

– YOSE is like an internal Google. When someone starts an investigation, they usually already possess information that is useful for them. But they don’t know how and where to find it in the massive amount of data they have on their hard disk. YOSE uses AI technology to find the information by looking at pictures, films and text, says Christian.

“… with a combination of advisors, analysts and software, we can give our customers what they need …”

Paliscopes other product, Discovry, takes all that data and visualises it for the user to get maximum value out of the information they have. It is, for example, used by police to create reports which can lead to court and conviction.

–  There is no shortage of challenges in the world today with increasing ransomware attacks, cyber-attacks, cybercrime, fraud, trafficking and so on. We are here to contribute to the solutions. And with a combination of advisors, analysts and software, we can give our customers what they need and together, we can create a better future, says Rolf.
